Overview

The Max Jackson Shield was awarded to the Women's League baseball Most Valuable Player. It is a wooden shield-shaped trophy with a gold-coloured, scroll-shaped metal plate attached at the top, engraved with the name of the trophy. Below the scroll is a gold-coloured, round, scalloped-edged plastic badge with a central image of a baseball, bat and glove in colour. In the centre of the shield are 12 small shield-shaped metal plates, five of which are engraved with the names of past winners. At the bottom of the shield is a larger shield-shaped metal plate, engraved with the name of the award. On the back of the shield is the manufacturer's details on a white sticker with blue text.
