PHOTOGRAPH: (Copy) METTERS' TUG-OF-WAR TEAM
The black and white photograph shows seven men posed on wooden planks against a corrugated iron building, all standing with their arms crossed. They are wearing white T-shirts/short-sleeved shirts with 'Metters' printed across the chest. All wear dark trousers with leather belts, and strong boots. An unknown man is seated in front on what appears to be a kerosene tin. He is dressed in a suit, tie and hat. Coiled at his feet is a long rope with the knotted end extending to the right behind the standing men.
