SCRAPER, BOOT
Two metal spikes rounded one end with cross bar near the top, secured by four studs.
The other end of the spikes has tapered points to embed in the ground.
Used on the Martin family farm, presumably to remove feces from their work boots before entering the home.

Details
A boot scraper is used to remove dirt, debris, and feces from a boot before entering a building. This one was used at a time when feces from horses and other working animals were common in the City of Armadale area.
