On the reverse side is a photograph of Bill Shorten with Labor Party policies in a slightly translucent box on the bottom third.

Historical information

This pamphlet outlines Matt Keogh's promises if elected and how the Labor party wished for its supports to vote. He worked as a lawyer and was recognised by the Law Council of Australia in 2009. He also worked for the Commonwealth Director of Prosecutions in white collar crime. Matt also worked with Alannah MacTiernan. In 2015 he contested the federal by-election for the seat of Canning and lost. In 2016 he contested the new federal seat of Burt and won. He was re-elected in 2019.

Statement of significance

This collection of election ephemera provides a snap shot into the political parties and organisations who participated in the 2016 Federal Election for the newly created Federal Division of Burt. The collection includes policies from large and small political parties and identifies issues the political parties believed were important to residents in the seat. The Federal seat of Burt was created in 2015 after the 2015 By-Election for the seat of Canning.
