Historical information

Campaign material produced for Matt O'Sullivan's campaign for the new seat of Burt at the 2016 Federal Election. Matt lost the seat to Mat Keogh of the Labor Party after receiving 42.89% of the votes.
The pamphlet includes how to vote instructions for Matt O'Sullivan and provides a snapshot of conservative politics at the time of the 2016 federal election. The people in the photograph include Matt O'Sullivan, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, Scott Morrison, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop.

Statement of significance

This collection of election ephemera provides a snap shot into the political parties and organisations who participated in the 2016 Federal Election for the newly created Federal Division of Burt. The collection includes policies from large and small political parties and identifies issues the political parties believed were important to residents in the seat. The Federal seat of Burt was created in 2015 after the 2015 By-Election for the seat of Canning.
