An article on the presentation of the movie "The Man Life Passed By" in the Lyric Theatre in Katanning.
Royal Exchange Hotel
c. 1925 - 1940A sepia photograph of a street, buildings on the left and pine trees on the right. There are motor vehicles parked on the left hand side of the street. The second building in the foreground has a triangular sign on it which reads "Royal Exchange Hotel". The number plate on the first motor vehicle is 'KA.96" and the second is "KT.2"
From the movie "THE MAN LIFE PASSED BY" that is displayed on the side walk behind the motor vehicles in the foreground, the approximate year of the picture (1925) is deduced. Please refer to the Great Southern Herald Article in the supplementary section. The King George's Hostel can be seen further in the background and at the very end of the street is the National Bank of Australia.
