WEATHERBOARD HOUSE WITH PICKET FENCE
c. 1920B/W Print. Simple weatherboard and corrugated iron house with gabled porch and a front verandah, where a woman and child are standing. Gateway in decorative picket front fence leads directly to wooden steps to the verandah and central door, flanked by two casement windows. The verge is rough and the road in front of the house is unsealed.
This is posssibly the home John McQueen built on part of parents' block in Devon Road when he married. According to Jean Strickland (Decendant), the woman on the front porch is Auntie Emily and her youngest son John.
