Historical information

[Woods Great Peppermint Cure] is the name of a cure all for coughs and colds. Originally made by a New Zealand chemist W. E. Woods in 1881 he would expand his company into Australia before his death in 1927.

His company, W. E. Woods & Co., New Zealand would operate after his death. The company exists in some form to the present day under the South African company Kalbe.

The bottle would have been disposed of after use into the rubbish tip. The rubbish tip would have been created to deal with waste that could not be reused or used to make new items.
