Post 1945, Western Australia, Perth, 7 Field Battery, Military Tattoo

Overview

Digital image of photograph of guns of 7 Field battery preparing to fire (blank rounds) during a Military Tattoo at Supreme Court Gardens

Historical information

Original caption describes uniform as "Battle Dress Ceremonial". It was a contrivance of dress artillery trousers, white band tunics and infantry pattern (with spike) Wolseley pattern pith helmets. As a mounted corps, correct artillery versions would have had ball finials instead of spikes so as not to injure horses when tightening girths.
