Historical information

William Henry Norton 'Bill' Angove (1924-1980) attended Bunbury High School from 1938 to 1942.

Nicknamed 'Mousie'. Obtained a 'Junior' certificate in 1940.

Was often at odds with teachers over his desire to put his artistic talents before scholastic learning.

Bill became regarded among Western Australia's most accomplished 20th century photographers.
His creative successes were largely achieved on the international stage and in eastern Australia.

His main contribution to his home state was as a much admired and dedicated photography educator. He was an artist who never stopped stretching boundaries.

His life was detailed by biographer Richard Goodwin in his book "Sparks of Genius The Inventive Photography of Bill Angove" ISBN: 9781923174085.
