Historical information

Roy Gordon Grace (1907-1994) commenced high school at Bunbury District High in 1921 and moved to Bunbury High School in 1923.

Excelled at football, tennis and athletics.

Junior certificate 1923 passing eight subjects (English, French, Mathematics, Geography, History, Physics, Agricultural Science and Drawing).

School Captain 1925.

One of thirteen BHS students who passed Leaving Examinations in 1925. Roy passed English, Mathematics, Physics and Agricultural Science.

In 1926 Roy became a student at Claremont Teachers College. After attending Claremont Teachers College, Roy became a high school science teacher. Roy's last posting was as the Deputy Principal of Churchlands Senior High School in 1972.

During World War II, Roy took unpaid leave from teaching to serve in the Royal Australian Air Force.
