Les Haddleton in Katanning Volunteer Fire Brigade Uniform
c. 1939A black and white photograph of a man standing on a street dressed in Katanning Volunteer Fire Brigade uniform. The uniform consists of a dark double breasted jacket and long trousers, the hat is circular and has a dark band and white top. There are two badges on the jacket lapels and the man is wearing a white shirt and a tie. In the background is a lady dressed in a mid calf length dress, hat, gloves and is holding a purse and alongside of her a man dressed in a suit.
Les may have been part of the 'Guard of Honor', the Katanning Brigade hosted for the marriage of Wally and Eileen Haddleton, Easter 1939.

On the back of the postcard hand written in blue ink is "Les as a Fireman". Below this inscription handwritten in black ink is "Les Haddleton in Fireman's uniform from Katanning. Photo taken in Perth Forrest Place. Son of Job Haddleton".
