Front: The photograph was taken in a garden in front of a trellis. The two little girls stand in front of Mary Newman. They both wear short dresses, long socks and cardigans. The girl on the right is holding what appears to be a piece of fabric in her hands. Mary is wearing a full length black frock, with a high collar and long sleeves. She has a pendant around her neck.
Reverse: Handwritten note: 'Joan, Judy and Mother'.
