Kerosene Lamp

Overview

A small kerosene lamp which has a green metal base, a white squat glass lamp covering the wick and a small knob on the fount. It has an inverted dome shaped fount weighted base which is painted in enamel green. Screwed into the neck of the fount is a brass burner featuring a simple circular wick adjusted by the projecting knob on the side.

Historical information

The dome shaped bottom meant that if the lamp was knocked over it will automatically right itself. Screwed into the neck of the fount is a brass burner featuring simple circular wick adjusted by projecting knob on side. This knob bears the words in raised relief lettering [BRITISH MAKE CWB]. Slotting into the burner is a small squat white glass chimney.
