TALCUM POWDER CONTAINER - FOR BABY
c. 1912a) Straight sided bowl, curved at base to a small stand. Upper edge has inset lip to hold lid. Sides of base have scenes of rice planting, butterfly catching, in gold, green, blue and red/brown. A powder puff would have been used to dust on the powder.
b) Straight sided lid, curving to flat top. Black lacquer with pictures of Japanese musician, man with parasol and another figure partly obliterated, looks like an acrobat.
