c. 1917The photograph features a brick and iron house with an ornate picket fence. It has two gables, one on the top of the roof and the other to the left of the image over the verandah featuring timber decoration. The verandah has five turned timber posts with decorated tops. There is more fancy timberwork under the verandah guttering. The verandah to the right is enclosed. A large gum tree can be seen centre behind the roof. The donor has written on the back of the photo: 'House No. 21 Arthur Street, Subiaco about 1971 (?1917) owned by Mrs F.M. Plues.'
