Austral Terrace, Katanning
c. 1926A sepia photograph of a main street in Katanning, on the left hand side are seven parked cars all of which have the spare tyres on the back outside of the vehicles. There are cars parked further down on the left hand side and two cars parked on the right hand side of the road. The road is bituminised and on the right hand side there are two open drains and a culvert over the drain a third of the way down the road to allow vehicles to come onto the road from a building. There are no buildings on the left hand side of the road but there are trees down the road. On the right hand side the buildings are two storeys high and have wooden verandas and posts. At the front right hand side of the photograph are a row of short wooden posts connected with a chain, and there are electricity poles on the right hand
The photograph is taken at the intersection of Clive Street and Austral Terrace looking south down Austral Terrace. These two streets are the main streets of Katanning.

On the back of the photograph is hand written in black ink 'Katanning 1926' and stamped in purple ink at the top left of the photograph is 'PRINTED BY FIELDING STUDIO. 94 HIGH ST. FREMANTLE'
