Wanke Building
c. 1938 - 1929A sepia photograph of a building with three shops. At the top façade of the building is "1928", below this on the left is "Est" then "WANKE'S BUILDING" and then on the right "1909. The store on the left is "Musgrove's Ltd Agency", the shop in the centre is "J.F. Wanke" and the shop on the right is "Stromberg . Carlson". There is a fuel in front of the shop on the right. There is a van on the left which has the following written on the rear side " Stromberg and Carlson RADIO" and on the front door "J.F. WANKE Sales & Service".
Retail shopping in Katanning, a music shop, dress shop and fuel pump on the street. In 2002 the building was a a Video retail store. The van in the picture of the opening of the Katanning Swimming Pool on the 12th of November 1938.

On the back of the postcard handwritten in pencil is "Clive St, Early 1920's".
On the back of the postcard printed in black lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with headings "CORRESPONDENCE" and "ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "KODAK" at the top and bottom and the words “AUSTRAL” on the sides.
