Historical information

1931 World Rover Scout Moot Jamboree Swiss Badge BSA

The first World Rover Scout Moot, an international gathering for older Scouts (Rovers), took place in 1931 at Kandersteg, Switzerland, serving as the equivalent for Rovers to the main World Jamboree. Led by Scouting's founder, Mr Baden-Powell, it brought together young men from 22 nations for fellowship, activities, and promoting peace, establishing a tradition of these events held roughly every four years until the 1960s, evolving into the modern World Scout Moot.
