Overview

A) Medal O.B.E. Cross having the four arms of equal length, terminating in stylized fleur de lis. Centre of cross contains effigies of King George V and Queen Mary with "For God and the Empire" printed around. One point of the cross is topped by a crown which attaches to a grosgrain ribbon of red with thin silver grey border. This has a sterling silver spring clip attached to back. Obverse of medal has crown surmounting GBE.
B) Plastic covered, spring opening case with velvet lining to support medal - also "Instructions as to wearing Insignia". Lid of case has coat of arms and "Royal Mint" stamped on it.
