A silver medallion with the left profiles of King George V in the foreground and Queen Mary in the background and on the reverse side of the medal is a swan. The medallion is hung from a medal bar which has a red, white and blue ribbon. There is a pin attached to the top bar.

Inscriptions and markings

On the front of the medal is inscribed "KING GEORGE V & QUEEN MARY' and below the profile of King George V is "STOKES".

On the back of the medal around the outer edge is inscribed "TO COMMEMORATE THEIR MAJESTIES CORONATION JUNE 22 1911" and below the swan is "WESTERN AUSTRALIA".

The inscription on the medal bar is "FEAR GOD AND" at the top and "HONOR THE KING" at the bottom.
