Australian Army Slouch Hat

Overview

A khaki cloth wide brim hat with the right side of the hat folded up and a badge which features a crown at the top of a wreath with a kangaroo over two crossed rifles and a boomerang supporting the wreath; the badge is pinned to the crown of the hat. Around the crown of the hat is a light green puggaree band, and the hat has a leather chin strap. The puggaree has a mid green badge with a black parachute in the centre pinned to it.

The hat has a Royal Australian Infantry Corps badge.

Inscriptions and markings

On the badge underneath the kangaroo is "DUTY FIRST" and on the boomerang below the kangaroo is "ROYAL AUSTRALIAN REGIMENT".

On the inside leather head band in gold lettering is "AKUBRA 1988" and undernetah is "55" with an up arrow, and underneath is "MADE IN AUSTRALIA".
