Historical information

Michael Cronin was one of the early settlers of Katanning. He married Eleanor Noonan, daughter of William and Eleanor Noonan of Kojonup in 1866. William Noonan was an enrolled pensioner guard stationed at Kojonup. Michael and Eleanor or Ellen had nine children, Ellen died in 1884 and is buried in Kojonup Cemetery with her parents. Michael settled in Katanning in 1875 and named his homestead 'Glen Cove' which was later shortened to 'Glencoe'
