Kyra Maud Fisher-Crosby was born in Katanning in 1895 and dies in 1976. Kyra never married but gained her certificate in accountancy and worked for W.J. Rogers, A.E. Crouch & Sons and Old & Cornish. Kyra loved the sport of hockey and was a foundation member of the Katanning Hockey club in 1921, played for the White Smilers and there is a perpetual trophy presented each year at the Great Southern Carnival in memory of Kyra.
