Black and white mounted photo of Mayor Evelyn H. Parker unveiling plaque at the opening of the Shenton Park Child Centre on 13th March, 1975. The top plaque mentions the City of Subiaco erecting this building to replace an earlier building. The bottom plaque is the stone which was laid at the opening of the original centre which was built on this site in 1929 by the Subiaco Infant Health Association. Evelyn Parker wears a printed long sleeved dress with white shoes and hat and has a long pearl necklace. A microphone stands in front of the curtained plaques and the word 'Kindergarten' is visible behind the curtain.
