PHOTOGRAPH: JACK HAYWARD OUTSIDE HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE
c. 1970Black and white photo of Jack Hayward wearing dark trouse and & leaning on a cane, holding a straw boater in his other hand. He is standing on the pavement opposite His Majesty's Theatre in Hay Street, Perth, which was the scene of 'many triumphs when he trod/tapped the boards'. There are vehicles parked in front of the theatre, and a Daily News stand is nearby. The photo has a creamy cardboard mount and is in a decorated wooden frame. Taped to the back of the frame is a card with information about Jack Hayward's connection to the Western Squares Square Dance Club, as founder member, life member and historian-reporter. **Brought to museum office during storage unit renovation - broken frame posing threat to image.
