State Express Cigarette Tin. Fairly large thin metal tin with red, blue & white design on front showing lots of chipping, general wear and tarnishing. Bottom edges of lower half of tin reenamelled. Inside tin is shinier and cleaner, less tarnished. Inside top is same wording and patterns as on front only in black. Simple wire hinge. Bottom half is deeper and sits inside the top. 'State Express Cigarettes No. 333. Absolutely unique in their qualities/Cork tipped' "State Express Cigarettes" in a scrolled banner. Two (2) shields with an eagle between them. One with a shield held by two people with an eagle above. The other an eagle holding a snake in its beak. Plants are above the two shields. Inside lid is inked: State Express Cigarettes No. 333 Cork tipped, absolutely unique in their qualities, State Express Cigarettes.
