On the back of the photograph hand written in blue ink is 'The BEECK Memorial on Fairfield Road adjacent to "Capemont" the original home of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Beeck who arrived in 1892. Unveiled in May 1971 by Mr. Edwin Beeck the senior Beeck descendant. The erection of the memorial was mainly due to the efforts of Mr. Arnold Beeck, whose research revealed that at present there are at present 769 dirset descendants of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Beeck.'
