Nurses at King Edward Memorial Hospital circa 1932. (Back row Left) Grace Thornhill, later Grace Wortley.
Families camped for the summer holidays at Matilda Bay, took dray loads of furniture and camping gear. The men joined in at the campsites on the weekends, and lived at home during the working week. The women and children spent many weeks at Matilda Bay, swimming, crabbing and prawning.
