A picnic in Kings Park circa 1925 - (Left). William Thornhill; (front) Leslie Thornhill; Ethel Thornhill (striped dress); Agnes Davies (black hat, rear) possibly husband on her right; Vera Gross (standing rear); (Front right) Grace Thornhill (married Wortley) mother of Pamela Prosser nee Wortley.
Families camped for the summer holidays at Matilda Bay, took dray loads of furniture and camping gear. The men joined in at the campsites on the weekends, and lived at home during the working week. The women and children spent many weeks at Matilda Bay, swimming, crabbing and prawning.
