Historical information

This photograph was taken c1990 by Joy Clinch when she revisited her former family home, Mill Farm, at Central Greenough. The house was originally constructed c1867 for Thomas Walsh as a Hotel. The Greenough Hotel had a license from 1868 to 1887. It was then purchased by Thomas Clinch as a residence for his son Arthur Charles Clinch in 1888.

Contextual Information

Although of poor quality this photograph is important in providing evidence as to who was responsible for some of the carpentry work in this building. The signature was on a door leading from the kitchen to the central hallway and it is believed that physical evidence has now been lost.
