Frederick Gladstone Clinch (1898-1972) was born and grew up at Greenough.
Thomas Whitehead was Anglican rector at Greenough 1911- 1916.
The Holy Trinity Church on the east side of the Greenough River near Walkaway was consecrated in 1903.

The Clinch family were staunch supporters of the Anglican Church at Greenough.
