Contextual Information

Burdett Lloyd was a school teacher. She taught in Toodyay district schools and lived at home with her mother at Calbaline.
Burdett (1888-1914) married James Laurance Vincent Sheridan, in St John the Baptist Church, Toodyay on 25 March 1913. He worked for the Railways in Northam and Newcastle, for some years. They lived in Midland Junction, then James St., Perth. They had a daughter on 30 Dec 1913 at Midland (Elaine Burdett). Burdett died on 24 Jan 1914 in Perth Hospital (from birth complications, it seems) and is buried in Nardie Cemetery. James (1885-1981) served in WW1. It appears he did not remarry and died in Merredin.
