div>2006.266.3 PHOTOGRAPH: SUBIACO COUNCIL BUILDING C1968 The 3 coloured photos show different views of the Council Administrative building in Rokeby Road, with a low flat roof, set back from the road and designed to be un-obtrusive. The original Municipal Council Chamber building, 1899, co-existed with the new building but was demolished in 1971, the area being made into a park with a plaque marking the location of the 70 year old building. A) Front entrance of building, facing east. b) Street frontage of building, view from NE. c) Street frontage of building, view from SE.

Historical information

The 1968 Council building underwent further extension and renovations that were opened in 1997. See wall plaque on outside of City of Subiaco Council Chamber and Administration building.
