1950The image shows a large weatherboard and iron roofed house that may be a boarding house. The verandah is half closed in with planks set vertically side by side. There is a portico at the centre of the verandah leading to the front path. There are several trees in the garden which is enclosed with a short, clipped hedge, with lengths of timber laid horizontally in front with the footpath. There is a row of letterboxes at the left side of the image. This image was discovered at the display of the Sisters of St John of God Centenary Celebrations at St John of God Hospital June 1995. Information from the brochure states: '1995 is the centenary of the arrival of Sisters of St John of God in Australia.
