Historical information

Claremont Speedway was located at the Claremont Showgrounds. Complaints from householders about noise eventually resulted in the speedway being moved to Rockingham district in 2000. The Claremont Speedway held race meets (both motorcycles and super-charged cars) in summer on Friday nights. www.motorplex.com.au.
