Australian Army - Food Ration Packs
Four clear plastic bags - each containing wrapped food, condiments and sundries
There are two types of ration packs within this Collection:
(a) Australian Army Soldier :
Combat Ration One Man ("CR1M") is intended to feed one soldier for 24hours and consists of two main meals, a midday snack and a number of sundry items.
Also includes FRED (field ration eating device) which serves as a can opener, bottle opener and spoon.
(b) Australian Army Cadet :
Hunger Buster Cadet Ration Pack is a complete 24hour ration pack designed for the dietary requirements of cadets.

(a) Food Ration Bag was issued to Ms G Craigie whilst out on an "Exercise Gumboot Barricade" 2024. This was a joint exercise with Katanning (518ACU), Bunbury (515ACU) and Busselton (511ACU). The exercise ran from 30 August 2024 - 1 September 2024, and was held at the training ground near Wellington Dam.
(b) These Food Ration Bags were issued to Ms G Craigie whilst out on biovacs.
Ms G Craigie was a member of the 511 Army Cadet Unit, Busselton.
