BOX - FOR LEND A HAND BADGE ROTARY INTERNATIONAL

Overview

The top of the box is see-through, so someone can see inside the box. with two joints connecting the top to the box on the back of the box. the front has a simple locking mechanism to open and close the lid.
All four sides of the box are black plastic, with the bottom also being black but with a makers mark in the middle of the bottom\

Inside the box is a cardboard badge holder, light grey in colour that is used to store the badge securely.

Historical information

The badge was distributed to Rotary Members in 2003 as part of the celebration of the year of 'Lend a Hand'. Each year the president of Rotary International picks a theme. For the year 2003/4 Rotary president Jonathan B. Majiyabge selected the 'Lend a Hand' theme. The badge was collected by a member of the Rotary Club of Armadale-Neerigen.
The Rotary Club of Neerigen which later changed its name to the Rotary Club of Armadale-Neerigen was founded in 1982. The club was involved in numerous fundrasing events and sponsored several exchange students as well as overseas programs. Members would regularly attend Rotatory events locally, nationally and internationally as well as visit other Rotary clubs around the world. The club folded due to a lack of members in 2012.
