ACWW Crest
Wooden crest. Green in colour with white outline and logo
This logo signified a compass, with the acronym ACWW letters pointing in each direction to show that it represented the whole world. It is thought that the green represented agriculture as food/education/production and supply to all people was a vital part of the organisation.
With the revitalisation of ACWW the logo revisited as critics said the green loco was confusing because it didn't look like a compass and in many parts of the world North, South, East and West are not cardinal directions. It also looked dated and didn't contain the organisation name - hence a new logo was created and this one consigned to history.
