Commemorative CWA of WA Playing Cards
These drink coasters were produced as memorabilia.
Two separate tapestries were undertaken by CWA of WA members and presented at CWA State Conference in 1979 to the Parliament of Western Australila as a gift in recognition of WA 150 years.
The first tapestry was a reproduction of a painting by Mr G Pitt Morison, Curator of the WA Art Gallery and presented by him to that institution. Entitled 'Foundation of Perth' it depicts the founding of Perth in 1829 and the second tapestry depicts the same site 150 years later.
These cards were donated by Pam Batten
