CWA of WA is affiliated with the Associated Country Women of the World (ACWW) an organisation of over 9 million women in 82 countries (2023). We are active members of the South Pacific group and attend and contribute to Triennial conferences held in our region. Our particular areas of interest are: Literacy; Health education; Nutrition and home economics; Agricultural training and development; Income generation; Water and sanitation and Civic conscientiousness/community involvement.
At CWA of WA State Conference each year a country of study is chosen and the International Officer researches and encourages members to learn about, interact with, celebrate the customs and way of life of these countries to better understand our differences and find common ground which can lead to friendship and visits to these countries.
From time to time funds are raised by competitions and donations, the chief of which is 'Pennies for Friendship'. This money goes to special overseas projects and the running of A.C.W.W.
