METAL THREAD, STOLE

Cream and gold ecclesiastical stole. Brocade backed with cotton. Heavy gold embroidered panel each end and small cross at neck. Panel is 520mm long. Completely edged in laid gold Jap. Laid gold stylised Greek cross with deep red silk satin stitch centre. Small mauve silk flower in centre of that. Shield design above cross with IHS in gold laid thread. Background: five mauve flowers, ten gold coloured buds, green leaves and laid gold thread tendrils. Fringe is cream bound in gold thread. Lace edged at neck.
