ORAL HISTORY (AUDIO): DALTON, JACK AND SYLVIA BOOR
1985Sylvia Boor was the niece of Daisy Fitzpatrick (nee Flynn) who married James Fitzpatrick, of 18 Chester Street, Subiaco. The lifestyle at Chester Street is described - billiards, family gatherings, Fitzpatrick pastoral interests. Miss Boor's father was a draper in Beaufort Street. Jack Dalton recalls the West Subiaco Flying Club in the early 1930s, glider construction, gliders being launched by car with catapault; Captain Charles Snook, Ittershagen; University of WA gave land to the West Subiaco Flying Club.
