Overview

This square linen tea cloth made in 1919 has an elaborate 150 mm edge of hand-made filet crochet.

In the centre of the linen is filet crochet panel with the word ‘Victory’. In each corner is a crochet square with ‘1919’.

The design of the filet crochet edge consists of a series of crowns with the Union Jack flag on the right side and the French Tricolour flag on the left. Flowers border the scalloped perimeter.
