Silver Peace medallion featuring dove carrying olive branch - 1919
1919Circular, sterling silver Peace medallion featuring an engraved depiction of a dove carrying an olive branch in its beak, produced to celebrate the end of World War One in1919.
It features the word 'PEACE' engraved at the top and the year '1919' at the bottom.
It has a ring attached at the top through which a loose metal ring is held. A chain, pin or ribbon could be threaded through for suspension.
The reverse is plain with the exception of the maker's name 'STEVENSON' and the 'STG SILVER' mark.
This medallion or pendant was produced in 1919 to celebrate Peace after the end of World War One. The dove and olive branch motif represent hope, reconciliation, and the renewal of life after conflict.
