circa early October 1966 a) "Support for Golf Club Expected" Including quotes from the organising committee's, Murray Day, the content outlines the expected finances necessary to establish the club and a meeting to be held at the Applecross hall on October 13, 1966. The source of the article is believed to be "The West Australian".

20/10/66 b) "Bid to Establish Private Golf Club" Describes the follow up actions from the meeting above with an approach to the Melville Town Council expected. The source of this article is the "Daily News".

23/10/66 c) "More in Melville for private links" Written by Nev Johnston, the article is another follow up from the meeting above supporting the need for further private golf clubs. The source of the article is the ''Sunday Times''.

1/10/67 d) ''New Glades Golf Club Course Takes Shape'' The article shows an aerial picture of the course with labels indicating the hole layouts. The content describes the progress at that point in time, the intended installation of the automatic irrigation system, the current membership totalling 238, and a description of the land. Of particular interest is the hole layout features course architect Al Howard's design with the nines ''reversed''.



The source of the article is "The West Australian". The author is likely to have been the camera person who accompanied The Royal Area Club flight from Jandakot airport arranged by the club's Committee to photograph the course development progress.

circa early 1969 e) Two articles appear on this page.

The first ''Club Opens on Saturday'' announces the first official playing day,

planned for Saturday 3rd May 1969.

The second ''Glades Golf Club Licensed'' reports on the formalities of the club obtaining a liquor license from the Licensing Court which became effective on the opening day.
