Minnie Rose Cordery (nee Peck) was a strong worker for the Salvation Army. Always called Rose. Rose was a member of the Salvation Army Mothers League, they lived in a house on the corner of Cockburn Rd & Lockyer Ave. Her husband George Percy Cordery was an insurance agent in Stirling Terrace , with a shop (next to the London Hotel) which also sold General Merchandise, with a weigh bridge on other side of the road, (next door to the Rest Centre).
Youngest son Jim was the sports writer for the Albany Advertiser from 1970 - 1985.
