Historical information

In 1925 1JM was registered to a Jas. L. McDermott, 'Oaklands', Toodyay.
This was James Lewis MacDermott (1884-1962) who also farmed at 'Newgain'. He remained single throughout his life and is buried in Nardie Cemetery.
