The double storey building in the centre of the photograph is Bunbury's Convent of Mercy (built 1897) during its transformation into the Bunbury Regional Art Gallery.

The flat roofed building on the left of the art gallery is Bunbury's radio station 6TZ. Behind the radio station is the police building.

On the right is the Railway Institute.

In the foreground is a Caltex service station.

Historical information

The Bunbury Regional Art Gallery officially opened on February 14, 1987, housed in the historic, heritage-listed former Sisters of Mercy Convent and Chapel built in 1897.
