PHOTOGRAPH (COPY): CHILDREN'S PROCESSION, EMPIRE DAY CELEBRATION
1914The black and white copy of photograph features a view of Rokeby Road, south of Barker Road. Procession of children flanked by various adults (teachers) and led by school band of boys in school caps carrying brass instruments, a taller boy with brass drum. The children are carrying flags for Empire Day Celebration 29 May 1914 Two horse-drawn carts and figure on horseback travelling uphill in opposite direction of procession. Possibly Empire Day celebration.
